Introduction<\/h5>

The present document sets forth the terms and conditions under which Rutamax<\/strong> offers car rental services through its website [rutamax.com] (hereinafter \"the Platform\").
By using our services, you agree that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.<\/p>

Rental Requirements<\/h5>

  • The lessee must be older than 25 years<\/strong> (or the minimum age specified in each reservation).<\/p><\/li>

  • Submit valid driver's license<\/strong> and official, valid in Mexico.<\/p><\/li>

  • To have valid official identification<\/strong> (INE or passport).<\/p><\/li>

  • Submit credit or debit card<\/strong> in the name of the lessee for guarantee and deposit.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Reservations and Payments<\/h5>

    • Reservations are made through the Platform or by direct contact with Rutamax.<\/p><\/li>

    • To confirm the reservation, a advance<\/strong> or full payment, as indicated in the Platform.<\/p><\/li>

    • Prices include the VAT<\/strong> and applicable additional charges.<\/p><\/li>

    • The amount of the security deposit<\/strong> will be retained at the beginning of the rental period and released at the end of the contract, provided there are no debts or damages.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Delivery and Return of Vehicle<\/h5>

      • The vehicle will be delivered at the agreed date, time and place.<\/p><\/li>

      • The lessee must return the vehicle in the same condition in which it was received (fuel, cleanliness, accessories).<\/p><\/li>

      • Delays in repayment may result in additional charges per hour or extra day<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

        Vehicle Use<\/h5>

        The lessee agrees to:<\/p>

        • Use the vehicle only for legal and private purposes.<\/p><\/li>

        • Do not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances.<\/p><\/li>

        • Do not allow unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle.<\/p><\/li>

        • Not to use the vehicle in competitions, speed trials, illicit activities or off authorized roads.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

          Insurance and Coverage<\/h5>

          • All vehicles include liability insurance in accordance with Mexican law.<\/p><\/li>

          • The lessee may contract additional coverages<\/strong> (e.g. property damage, total theft, road assistance).<\/p><\/li>

          • In case of accident, the renter must immediately notify Rutamax and the insurer, and refrain from admitting liability without authorization.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

            Cancellations and Refunds<\/h5>

            • Cancellations made with at least 72 hours<\/strong> in advance will be reimbursed in full.<\/p><\/li>

            • Cancellations less than 72 hours prior to the date of cancellation may result in a penalty of up to 100% of the advance<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>

            • Failure to show up on the rental date will be considered as \"No Show\"<\/strong> and will not give right to reimbursement.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

              Lessee's Liability<\/h5>

              The lessee is responsible for:<\/p>

              • Fines, violations, tolls and penalties during the rental period.<\/p><\/li>

              • Damage caused to the vehicle not covered by the contracted insurance policy.<\/p><\/li>

              • Loss of keys, documents, license plates or vehicle accessories.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

                Rutamax Limitation of Liability<\/h5>

                Rutamax will not be responsible for:<\/p>

                • Loss of personal belongings inside the vehicle.<\/p><\/li>

                • Damages caused by acts of God or force majeure.<\/p><\/li>

                • Unavailability of the vehicle due to external causes (strikes, natural phenomena, etc.).<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

                  Privacy and Personal Data<\/h5>

                  Rutamax is committed to protecting the personal data of its clients in accordance with the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Private Individuals (Ley Federal de Protecci\u00f3n de Datos Personales en Posesi\u00f3n de los Particulares)<\/strong> in Mexico.

                  Jurisdiction and Applicable Law<\/h5>

                  These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States of America. United Mexican States<\/strong>.
